American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

My group waited for over 20 minutes hoping for an ice cream after a hot morning at the beach. Online, says they open at 11, but nobody showed up. There was a sign posted to the door that said "Be back in 10", but we waited and waited and nothing. Hoping the hours can be more consistent. There were 4 or 5 other groups that stopped by but had to pass up Brusters due to them not being open.

Came and saw someone waiting outside then saw the β€œOn Break, Back Soon” sign and while waiting I saw probably 5 groups of people pass by and go due to the person being on break… obviously everyone needs a break but I probably waited 20-25 minutes along with an additional new several groups of people (10 people total) and we saw them finally come out from break but then they shut off all the lights and left and it was only maybe 6:15pm. The location probably lost like 200-300 due the person being gone for a while and possibly several hundred more dollars if they closed up early.

Another great scoop shop in Seal Beach. And although they don't make their ice cream here, it is made in-house at another of their locations and is excellent. (We particularly liked the sour/dark cherry and mixed berry cheese cake (with graham crust!).)

I never knew how good ice cream could be until I started visting these ice cream parlors and trying new flavors and this one truly did not disappoint! The black cherry ice cream was heavenly and of course i had to try the banana cream pie which was also delicious.

Best ice cream at Seal Beach in my opinion. Staff are friendly and work hard with great attitude toward every customer. I love the Butter Pecan...lots of pecans. They have specials too. Join their app and get $3 coupon. The vanilla ice is non-dairy with coconut milk base...very tasty too.
